These morsels will never be enough to quell this raging hunger; a hunger which has been suppressed for years but now has managed to break free. This is no ordinary hunger, you see, but one which has been left without nourishment for so long that it might appear not to exist.
And yet you dare to arrive, uninvited, with an aura so strong that you appeal to all the senses, causing my eyes, my lips and my nostrils to yearn for the crumbs of your being. Maybe, you are ignorant and oblivious to my misery and refuse to acknowledge that I need to be fed. Or maybe it is that you are incapable, bound by an unwavering sense of duty to one whose demands leave you with no nourishment to spare. And although meagre, these morsels are powerful enough to leave me powerless and pliable and willing to acquiesce to your every request.
